Victoria Woolfe grew up in Surrey, then spent a year working in Kentucky and travelling the US, Canada and Mexico. She studied at the universities of Cardiff and Cambridge, spending university holidays writing, editing and subbing for three national magazines. Since 2000 she's worked as a veterinarian and written and illustrated fiction for a variety of publications, including a monthly vet fiction series, now in its sixth year. Her middle grade novel, Dearly Wild, was shortlisted in The Times Chicken House Children's Fiction Competition 2014. She lives and practices in Sussex, bringing up a husband, two children and far too many animals.
